Marisa's Matcha Protein Smoothie Recipe

Everyday when Marisa comes into the office, you hear the blender 5 minutes later.

But what is she making...?

Her matcha protein smoothie! This is a great breakfast protein smoothie, giving you a great head start on your protein for the day, as well as providing that lean green caffeine from matcha green tea. 

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened milk of choice (Marisa loves almond)
  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop of protein powder 
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1/2 frozen banana 
  • 1/2 tbsp almond butter 
  • 1/2 tbsp hemp seeds 
  • Handful of fruit
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Protein & Calorie Breakdown:

  • Greek yogurt (1/3 cup): ~6.5g protein
  • Protein powder (1 scoop): ~30g protein
  • Milk (3/4 cup): ~0.75g protein
  • Almond butter (1/2 tbsp): ~2g protein
  • Hemp seeds (1/2 tbsp): ~1.5g protein

Total: ~40g of protein
