Around Halloween it's easy to make something so sweet and intense that they're more for show than enjoyment. These cookies are the perfect blend of on theme and delicious. The matcha powder gives these Halloween cookies the perfect all natural green colour.

The combination of different sugars will give you the best texture so make sure you use the right ones!

Cookie Ingredients

  • 45g Caster sugar
  • 115g Light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150g White chocolate chunks
  • 200g plain flour 
  • 2 tbsp PerfectTed matcha
  • 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
  •  70g Almond butter
  • 65g Coconut oil
  • 100g Golden syrup
  • 40g hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your over to 180 fan and line a tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix your caster and light brown sugars, flour, matcha, bicarbonate of soda, chocolate chunks, salt.
  3. Mix your wet ingredients together separately and then add to your dry ingredients, when everything begins to come together get your hands involved to fully combine!
  4. Now you can use an ice cream scoop to get uniform cookies but balling up some dough with your hands work just as well.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until cookie. You'll know they're ready when tiny cracks begin to form along the top. If you like your cookies chewy, keep an eye out for the crack and then bake for another minute or two. 
  6. Pop your cookies on a cooling wrack and try not to eat until cool!

  • Crumble your cookies over vanilla ice cream for an incredible dessert
